A member of our team will greet you at the Welcome Center to assist with check-in, including signing waivers, collecting fees, and unlocking those areas for you. We accept both cash and credit card payments.

Our sauna and hot tub are open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

5 Important Information

Heartwood is a remote Retreat Center about an hour up a mountain road from downtown Garberville, with the last 4 or so miles being a dirt road.
It is not a quick stop or “on the way” destination—so please plan ahead for gas and snacks before arriving.
The road is accessible for most cars but can be challenging for low-clearance vehicles, large RVs, or in winter conditions.

Reminders & Prohibited Items

Please park in our designated parking lot above the Welcome Center.
Do not bring glass bottles, breakable items, or alcohol into these areas.
Kindly use a towel to sit in the sauna.
Please leave your pets at home.
Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.
